a quick and easy guide about what not to do.
cat ages---
many people have trouble with cat ages and etc. on this site one month is equal to about two moons [role-playing wise]. that doesn't really have anything to do with putting an age to your cat, however, and sometimes the moons don't even get updated.
here are the ages per rank comparisons.
please note that for apprentices and warriors, the ages aren't always going to go all the way to the final moon. your cat can become a warrior at 12 moons, but no less than 10.
nine lives mean that leaders may live longer than the average cat
kit 1-5 moons
apprentice 6-14 moons unless problems occur
medicine cat apprentices 6-28 moons unless problems occur
warriors 12-100 moons unless problems occur
medicine cats - 18-100 moons unless problems occur
deputies 30-100 moons unless problems occur - must have had at least one apprentice
leaders- 50-150 moons unless problems occur
elders age of crippler-ness, sickness, or retirement - 125 moons
queens 30-70 moons

cat appearances---
acceptable appearances are as follow [note these are just basic colours and can be put in to markings and patterns however you like]
• black
• brown
• white
• orange
• tan
• gray
• yellow
• silver
• cream
• blue-gray
• any variation / tone of the above colours with exceptions of bright red and bright orange, etc.
these may be mixed or blended in to patterns. patterns are like tabby, tortoiseshell, mittens, calico, etc. please pm me for questions about patterns. colours that are not accepted are as follows.
• normal red & bright red
• blue
• pink
• purple/violet
• green
• other unrealistic colours. use common sense
cat personality---
an acceptable personality would be something that made sense. it is highly unlikely for a cat to be so high up on the 'pyramid of needs' that they could possible have the mental capacity to be a serial killer. only to survive and save loved ones would a cat kill another in the way that humans do, and i won't accept an 'evil, violent murderous cat who kills everyone he or she sees'. i will not accept a perfectly 'kind' cat, or a perfectly 'violent' cat. your cat must have flaws either way. no one is completely kind. everyone has an anger point and everyone has a compassion point. perfection on this site is not allowed.
mary-sues and gary-stus are not allowed. mary-sues are female cats who are perfect; either at hunting, fighting, protecting, loving, caring, all of the above, etc., and is treated like a 'goddess'. gary-stus are male cats with the same flaws. they will not be accepted and you will not be able to role-play until you make an acceptable personality.
cat history---
i do not accept sob-stories on this website. sob-stories is something along the line of what is below:

rushtail has had a hard life. from the moment he was born his littermates hated him, and his clan mates and everyone always abused him and beat him. the only person that ever loved him was his mother but when he was three moons old she died right in front of him. he would never forget her and he almost killed himself in grief. his clan mates treated him even worse after that. his father and den mates blamed him for what had happened and he couldn't go anywhere. he didn't want to be an apprentice but he was forced to do that too. around that time his father died, and although the tom hated him, he loved his father and missed him too. his littermates were next to go and soon he was all alone in the clan. when he became a warrior he fell in love with a she-cat from another clan and she got pregnant. but then she was killed and her kits died too. rushtail was heart broken and would never love again.

okay so i possible overdid that. we don't need a bunch of depressed cry-all-the-time kitties on the site. be realistic. it's highly unlikely for something such as that to happen anyways.
non clan-born cats are not allowed in the clans on this site
